Asian American Racial Threat and Support for Racially Discriminatory Policy

Abstract Across a series of experiments, I show that racial threat from stereotypically nonthreatening minority group, Asian Americans, has direct impact on white Americans' views discrimination toward the group. When Americans learn group is growing, they feel distinct which decreases support for idea experience while simultaneously increasing policy actively discriminates against Americans. this concept to be portable over context, examining discriminatory Asians in education and COVID-19 policy. conclude by discussing implications how can drive more conflict decreasing perception occurring.
